This is the homepage of Rikard Haldin, webmaster of this site (the City of Kristinestad).
As you may notice we hired a local expert to refurbish our pages (contents are more or less the same as before). These new pages were put into production use on June 28th, 1999.
My real job is that of Financial Manager, I run the Accounting and Payroll department of this city. You can get more information about my employer from the home page of the City of Kristinestad.
Historically the Information systems in Finnish cities and corporations have been managed either by the Accounting department or the Technical maintenance department (those who build roads, sewers and water pipes among other things). In our case it is the former who coordinates Information Technology activities and acquisitions.
I myself have a degree in corporate finance and computers have been an integral part of my life since the early 1980s.
In my spare time I attend to the activities of home maintenance and child care (for obvious reasons: married, with children...)
